Research for me has always been a way to explore and examine ideas beyond the surface—to challenge existing narratives and uncover perspectives that often go unnoticed. Working with Dr. Sejal Yadav took this curiosity to the next level. She didn’t just teach me how to structure a paper; she guided me through the complexities of research methodology, from formulating the right questions to ask to navigating hard-to-access sources to hour long sessions (yes, the rant ones) guiding you forward when research is the last thing on your mind.

This experience not only prepared me for the kind of rigorous academic writing expected in colleges as a Journalism major, but also became a standout piece in my university applications. Having a research paper under my belt gave me an edge, and I owe so much of that to Dr. Sejal’s mentorship.
